When the ENGWE LE20 arrived at the Electric Bike Factory test site in Helsinki, the team was excited to see how the 250W power of its mid-drive motor could be harnessed. The bike handled a winding city route flawlessly and offered a surprisingly smooth ride, whether accelerating from traffic lights or cruising along a busy pedestrian street.
The test rides also included a small off-road ride, where the bike showed its solidity. The torque sensor technology adapted the assistance naturally to the pedaling, so there was no need to worry about the brakes slipping or running out of power on hilly climbs. The Step-Thru frame made it easier to stop and walk, which was a plus for city life.
The bike is designed specifically for the commuter and electric cargo bike categories, but it is also ideal for urban e-bike riders who value ease of use and reliability. The foldable design makes transport and storage easy, and the design is modern and practical for both men and women.

The seller of an electric bike is the factory that manufactures or supplies the bike. The factory is the independent and sole seller of the electric bike store and is responsible for the product's delivery, warranty, and any possible defects.
Sähköpyörätehdas Suomi Oy is not a seller or guarantor of the electric bike. Sähköpyörätehdas offers you a separate customer service and technical system through which you can contact the factory's salesperson.

When you buy an electric bike from us, you can be confident that everything has been made as easy as possible for you. Our electric bikes are 90% pre-assembled, which means you don't have to worry about complicated assembly steps. For the final assembly, you will receive all the necessary tools and clear, step-by-step instructions to ensure that your electric bike is ready to ride in just around 30 minutes.
However, if you need help at any stage, we’re here to help. You can contact us at any time, and we offer free video tutorials via WhatsApp to help you get started. If you still don’t want to assemble your e-bike yourself, you can also bring it to our store and we’ll assemble it for you – this service is also designed to keep the process easy and hassle-free.
The first maintenance should be done after about a month of riding or after the e-bike has been ridden for 100-300 kilometers. This initial maintenance includes a complete washing of the e-bike, a comprehensive check of the electrical components, brake and gear adjustments, spoke tightening, chain oiling, and a general condition check. This maintenance ensures that your e-bike is in top condition and ready for safe riding.
Annual maintenance includes even more comprehensive procedures: battery testing, drivetrain cleaning, tire inflation and replacement, chain oiling, and checks and updates to all electrical systems. We recommend annual maintenance regardless of how you use your e-bike, to keep it in top technical condition and safe all year round.
We keep maintenance costs competitive. The price of initial maintenance starts at 90 EUR, and comprehensive annual maintenance costs 149 EUR (incl. VAT 25,5%).
If you want us to assemble your e-bike for you, you can bring it to our store, and the assembly service costs 69 EUR.
