Sähköpyörätehdas sent the DYU A5 folding electric bike to Helsinki's Kruunuvuorenranta, where the shared test drive location is located. The test team waited with excitement – and when the bike was unboxed, the atmosphere was like a test drive of a new sports car.
The first sprint on the smooth asphalt of the coastal road revealed that the DYU A5 is no ordinary ride. The lightweight aluminum frame and 350W motor took it to a top speed of 25 km/h in no time. The hills did not slow it down – the engine torque carried the rider up the slopes of Kruunuvuori like an electric wind at the back.
In the center of Helsinki, the DYU A5 shone with its agility. Stopping at traffic lights was smooth, and when the light turned green, the bike immediately accelerated. The disc brakes provided confidence and the foldable structure made it easy to move around: the bike fit on the subway, bus, or in the trunk of a car without any hassle.
When the route turned to sandy paths and coastal cliffs, the DYU A5 showed its versatility. The suspension front fork and seat suspension softened the bumps, rocks and roots - the ride felt stable and comfortable. Off-road, the DYU A5 combined traction and power in such a way that riding on gravel roads became an experience.
The DYU A5 weighs just 22 kilos, but has a load capacity of up to 150 kilos. It is designed to withstand the frequent stops of a city day as well as longer trips in the countryside. When folded, it takes up little space, but when unfolded, it offers a full-fledged e-bike riding experience.

When you buy an electric bike from us, you can be confident that everything has been made as easy as possible for you. Our electric bikes are 90% pre-assembled, which means you don't have to worry about complicated assembly steps. For the final assembly, you will receive all the necessary tools and clear, step-by-step instructions to ensure that your electric bike is ready to ride in just around 30 minutes.
However, if you need help at any stage, we’re here to help. You can contact us at any time, and we offer free video tutorials via WhatsApp to help you get started. If you still don’t want to assemble your e-bike yourself, you can also bring it to our store and we’ll assemble it for you – this service is also designed to keep the process easy and hassle-free.
The first maintenance should be done after about a month of riding or after the e-bike has been ridden for 100-300 kilometers. This initial maintenance includes a complete washing of the e-bike, a comprehensive check of the electrical components, brake and gear adjustments, spoke tightening, chain oiling, and a general condition check. This maintenance ensures that your e-bike is in top condition and ready for safe riding.
Annual maintenance includes even more comprehensive procedures: battery testing, drivetrain cleaning, tire inflation and replacement, chain oiling, and checks and updates to all electrical systems. We recommend annual maintenance regardless of how you use your e-bike, to keep it in top technical condition and safe all year round.
We keep maintenance costs competitive. The price of initial maintenance starts at 90 EUR, and comprehensive annual maintenance costs 149 EUR (incl. VAT 25,5%).
If you want us to assemble your e-bike for you, you can bring it to our store, and the assembly service costs 69 EUR.
